So, for the past few months I've been involved a lot more with IRC channels than I used to be. It's been enlightening, but along with my university work, I've started to notice an interesting trend. Sometimes the most innocent statements from someone can set off a chain of emotions and thoughts that aren't related to their comments. I won't give specifics as they aren't directly related to anything in particular, but I've had times I've gotten angry, sad, scared, etc, all from innocent comments from other people.
I have been trying to figure out what causes these reactions, but so far, I'm not getting much headway, hoping to find out more methods to track down the causes of these reactions as my studies progress. Just felt like I had to mention it...
If anyone is reading these, do you have times when something completely innocent from a stranger, or someone you only know via the messages they leave in IRC, facebook walls, etc, cause emotional responses that are not tied to the message sent? I'd love to hear from others on this.
